I have always been a fan of Twilight, both books and movie. That's why I was so happy to know that we'd have screenings. An advance screening and a block screening. 17 and 18. :) I didn't attend the block screening because...ahm..it was my birthday. hahaha I went home to DRINK. uhyeah! =p It was fine. just good. It's so bitin because the good part's on the 2nd installment of the movie. Book, Team Jacob: Movie, Team Jacob. Guys, it's still in the theaters. :) go watch! thanks, Solar for making things happen :D =p Sam and I talked about this months ago and fate lead me to Solar's events and marketing department. 

God always rules :)

I didn't go to office that morning 'cause I went to school to have my endorsement letter signed and then rest at home. I slept for like 6 hours and then got ready to go to Glorietta to help prepare for the premiere.

They made us arrange things and label the seats and the like. We got to watch the movie after all the work is done. I was so shy when they made me talk on camera. The ones when you have to talk about the movie. :||

I couldn't believe it either. It happened so fast.


Here's the whole story. On the last day of RMP review, I went to the room where Queenie was assigned and talked to Sir Torres about the company which accepted me. We ended up with a decision of not pursuing that company. Queenie talked to me "Diba gusto mo sa Solar?" and I said yes. It was Lyra who told her and Adri, our friend, was the one looking for another intern so I immediately sent him a text message. He told me to send him my resume and so I did. That night, I was waiting for my kuya and dad 'cause I'll go home with them to Bulacan. But I just woke up on a Friday morning with a text message and my dad and kuya left already. But I think it was just where God wanted me to be. The text message was from Adri and he told me that if I go Solar that morning, then I am in. 


Adri told me that he sent the message to 2 other persons. So it was more like a race to Solar. I prepared and go immediately to Makati. I got there and Adri told me that I am going to be accepted because the other two wouldn't make it. So we went up and I waited 'cause I thought I was going to be interviewed. What happened was I got hired because I think they needed another intern. They made me work that day and the rest is history. :) 


Was it luck or was it meant for me? haha emosyonal :D

Simula nung nag-college ako, hindi na ko naniwala sa GRADES e. Ang pinaniniwalaan ko nalang, kailangan kong matuto at hindi yun dahil sa mataas na grades. :) hihi Basta ako masaya 'ko. wala akong bagsak, at malapit na kong makatapos. :D

He gave this to me on my 17th birthday (Which he almost forgot until Satoshi reminded him) almost 4 years ago.

I swear I kept my promise. I'll tell you guys why this seems empty. This is indeed empty. About 7 months ago, we moved here in Pulilan but we left a lot of things in Plaridel (Choco Mucho and Toblerone included). 

Last Tuesday, Ashe, Queenie and I went to Plaridel to get some things. I decided to get the chocolates I've been keeping for years. I was shocked and sad to see the Choco Mucho empty and I know why. The mouse/mice ate it and did it in a very clean way. Notice that just a little part of the packaging is damaged but all of what's inside is gone. Sorry, Ferson. :|| I hope this doesn't happen to the M&M you gave me. :||

This one was given to me by May, my high school best friend, on my 18th birthday.  

I also promised her I won't eat it. 

I think this was also signed but I wasn't able to capture the signature.

This wasn't eaten by rat/rats but ants are inside it. Sorry, Besh. :||

I can't do anything about it anymore but I think if I were to continue collecting chocolates, I'd put it in safer place. In my defense though, I was able to keep this safe for years it's just that nobody cleans the house anymore and the only living things in there are rodents. I WAS WRONG ABOUT NOT BRINGING THEM WITH ME.

HANNA

The first time I saw Hanna's trailer, I knew I wanted to watch it.

Since I don't know when it's gonna be for viewing in cinemas here in the Philippines, I downloaded it. (whooopsies PIRACY) :|| sarry! anyway. I am very impressed with Saoirse Ronan's acting. She was so great. She was good with Lovely Bones but really HANNA, SUPERB!! :) I am seriously AMAZED. :) Watch Hanna. Watch Hanna. Watch Hanna! not for kids though. :) I mean it's kinda brutal. so there. GO WATCH HANNA! :))

An Answered Prayer

"Lord sana po this week maging maayos na yung OJT ko." This is what I was asking Lord when I prayed last Sunday and Monday night. [I know you won't believe but yes, I do pray almost every night. As long as my sleep is planned or...whatever.]


I went to a job interview this morning. Miss Marisse talked to me first and she was so kind. We were just like girl-friends. She asked me about the consumer behavior paper and the like. She even made me describe the packaging of 2-in-1 Pancit Canton(our group's innovated product). It was fun. :) She didn't intimidate me AT ALL. After minutes of talking, they made me wait for a LITTLE while then made me talk to Sir Red. Him, too, wasn't intimidating. It was in straight English but he was kind and he was like helping me answer his own questions. HAHA! I didn't know why I wasn't nervous with this interview. My favorite part of our talk is when I told him that I idolize Coca-Cola. Anyway, after talking to Mr. Red, I had to wait for a while. It was more or less 30 minutes.


It was all worth the wait.


After her talk with another applicant, she approached me and said "Hinintay mo pa talaga ko." haha It was nice of her to say that. Well I didn't know if I could go or not so I waited. She told me to come back on the 24th with my papers. Which means that I got in! haha YAHOO!!! :))


I can't even explain the feeling. This is like drinking Coke :) Happiness.


So what's the point in blogging? The point is that Lord answered my prayer. The week isn't about to end yet! Today's just Wednesday. Lord has His ways. He knows that I want a peace of mind and He's giving me peace of mind. Lord, thank You. There's so much gratitude in me that You truly deserve. THANK YOU :)

I'm A Fan

I love Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan. I literally was addicted to the series. When I was at the end of The Last Olympian, I wanted to read more so badly. Fortunately, there were pages of The Lost Hero. It was good! It felt like Percy Jackson didn't leave. I wanted to read the whole book but I don't have The Lost Hero. And what I always do when I go to book stores is browse books especially Riordan's even if I've read all PJOs. I remember telling my sister and friends this "Sobrang galing nung writer nito. Adik siguro sa Greek Mythology." (The book's author is so great. I think he's addicted to Greek Mytholgy.) I learned Greek Mythology because Rick Riordan. He educated me. I want to read The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune and I definitely will...hopefully soon. :)

I can really say that I am a fan of Rick Riordan. :D Kudos! :)

Embracing Embarrassment

FINE! I DIDN'T KNOW WHO KURT COBAIN AND MICK JAGGER WERE!

Last night, my cousin and my sister were talking about celebrities who turned out to be drug addicts. Their conversation went on and it reached Kurt Cobain. And I think my sister asked me if I know who he was and I immediately answered no. What am I supposed to say? I really don't. My sister was like "Hindi mo kilala? Ano ka ba?!". So I had to find out. My research told me that he was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Nirvana. And hey! He died when I was 3 so I'm not so guilty...maybe. I'm glad that I know him now though. :) 

Now this is more embarrassing. My sister watched the music video of Moves Like Jagger which I haven't seen until I replayed it. I was so shocked to find out that the Jagger the song talks about is actually a person. All this time, I thought the song's all about a baby jaguar! I feel so stupid! I felt like my sisters wanted to kill me! haha "Mau! Ano ka ba!" "Pati si Kurt Cobain hindi din n'ya kilala. Palibhasa puro Glee ang alam e." HAHA it was funny but it was also embarrassing 'cause they're famous people. Now I know that Jagger is the lead vocalist of The Rolling Stone. 

I tweeted this earlier "all this time I thought the "jagger" Maroon Five's talking about is the baby jaguar. haha sheeeeeeeeesh :|" and I got 2 responses and they are "@lj_pena @maueethegleek baby jaguar??" and "@carissaantonio @maueethegleek Hahahaha jaguar? Kaya kita loves krantsi eh! :))"

Kellen Sarmiento

I'm an avid Glee fan and  I saw Kellen Sarmiento (I didn't know his name yet) in a lot of Glee Videos on Youtube. I find him SO cute especially when he's wearing that Warbler uniform. aaaaaaaaaw! so ADORABLE! :)) This video made me love him even more :)) Raise Your Glass I so love him :) I super duper DO! :) ENJOY! <3

My First OJT Interview

We have final exams tomorrow and I know I should be studying but I can't stop thinking about my first interview. I think I just blew it. My answers were not right! I'm so sad and I feel so down. I know the answers but I didn't say them. I was eaten by my nervousness. :( I still wish to get accepted...though that might be impossible.

Jeric Fortuna

I asked my friends to describe Jeric in court and they said "magaling", "nakakabilib", and "UNDERRATED".


I didn't know Jeric during my first year in UST. I was already a sophomore student when I knew who he was and what he looked like.


It wasn't a big deal to me when I found out that he was one of my blockmates on my third year (until now). I wasn't really close to him. I mean we we're just normal classmates. We (blockmates) didn't watch much of their games last year. But when UAAP Season 74 begun, my blockmates and I watched every UST game that fell on Thursdays. We have never been this supportive. We created banners and printed shirts (yes that was us haha) for him. Maybe we did this because we'll be graduating and he'll be staying for another year. 


Like Kiefer, I didn't realize his popularity until I started reading his posts on Formspring. He has a lot of followers and he answers question after another. It's insane. His fans are crazy about him. 


Jeric is a good and funny friend. I honestly think that he is the most studious player UST has today. Since our class starts at 7am and ends at 11am, there are times that even if they have game, he'd still attend class. 

We got emotional when we saw him cried during the UST-AdMU game. Now that UST had said goodbye to the 74th season of UAAP basketball, we'd like Jeric to know how proud we are. You're still number ONE to us. M2 loves and supports you all the way. You'll still see us in the crowd next season. :)

The Phenom, Kiefer Ravena

I remember Kiefer as a little boy. I've known him since we were kids. I am a little bit older though. 


As a teen, Kiefer was makulit and ma-kwento. And the word dugyoters is still stuck in my mind. He used this word a lot when I came with them to Tagaytay.


I'd like to clarify that we're not close and I am not writing to brag. It's just that, I am proud. REALLY! 


I know that he was already a big star when he was still an Eaglet.  Now that he's in college, he's even more popular. I didn't realize this until we (my sisters, nieces, Caidics, Ravenas) ate dinner together one time. People would ask him for pictures. My niece and I were like "Kiefer's so popular". My friends even asked me to talk to him so they could have pictures with him. 


One thing I like about Kiefer in court (besides being a naturally good player), is that he's so kind. He stops possible fight, and helps other players get up when they fall. I can see that his feet are still on the ground. 


We all know he's good and maybe he's the BIGGEST star in UAAP. I am proud. My sister is. I can't even imagine how proud his family is. Go, Kief! Kief Achieving! :)

OJT FRUSTRATIONS

RODENTS

I got pissed of the rats yesterday. They're circling around kuya's house. They have been pesting us for weeks already and we've been trying to kill them but it's hard.

When I was doing something the other night, I got scraed of this mice running around the room. When I was reading yesterday, I got shocked when I saw something move with my peripheral vision. Same things happen in the dining and in the bathroom.

This is a two-storey house and they're everywhere! What shall we do? #Philippines

PEDRING'S A DISASTER

Pedring felled the gate and all the fences in Pulilan. You're so mean, Pedring! Good thing my family's safe and no kubo got destroyed. Keep safe, everyone. God bless us all. 

THIS IS SO RANDOM

Just when you thought you couldn’t write, you write. There’s no electricity, there’s my laptop with crashing battery, and there are novels which my eyes refuse to read. There are a lot of times when I’m bored and I say “I could really use a book right now”. That isn’t today. My heart and mind want Catching Fire. It’s hard to read a different book when you haven’t finished another. This always happens with Artemis Fowl. This borrowed book has already been with me for 9 months. It gets neglected every time I have time for it.

I was so happy with the announcement of no classes last night due to typhoon Pedring only to wake up with a brown out society. I’ve drunk my coffee, fed myself up with playing cards and now what shall I do? M2 has a lot of things to do but thanks to Pedring we can’t do them.

I’m so bored I want another cup of coffee. I’m so bored that if somebody dares me, I’d eat this left jawbreaker with the deal that, that somebody would go here (at home) just to get bored with me. I can’t tweet. Globe’s signal won’t allow me to.

What shall I do with this lazy weather? I can go to MegaMall, watch a movie, drink coffee and surf the internet until the coffee shop closes.

I can’t stand entertaining myself by imagining things ‘cause it just leads me back to reality. It won’t happen. Or maybe it would but what are the chances? .001 percent? Maybe less.

My brain told me to get a pen and papers for me to write. Now that I am, my hand writes random words it knows. Then I ask myself “who would read this long, boring story?” My brain answers “I don’t know. I don’t care. I just need to spill words out cause every stimuli in me is so bored”. I might be going crazy. I’ve been thinking a lot.

When I’m sad, I write. When I’m happy, I write. And now that I’m bored, I’m writing. Maybe taking up Commerce-Marketing just so I could get in to UST is a bad idea. Would I succeed if I took up Mass Communication elsewhere? But fate led me here. Why? Maybe because there are people I should meet and things I should learn.

I don’t know if I should stop writing or not. I don’t know if I should post this or not. I don’t know why I am writing in English and not in Tagalog. I just don’t...know.

Hunger Games

AN UNEXPECTED FONDNESS

I live in the Philippines so I didn't know anything about Hunger Games until I saw blogs, write-ups, and news about its film adaptation. I was so curious about it that I asked my brother-in-law to buy me the book. I just had time to read the book this September when I wasn't so busy anymore. 


This book amazes me. When I read about the news and blogs about it, I don't really get what the book's about but then the book told me everything I needed to know in a short span of time. 


The book wanted everything of my attention. It was even stealing the time I should be dedicating on dance practice. (SORRY FOR NOT PAYING MUCH ATTENTION :|) It was so hooking. The story revolves around 24 tributes/participants from 12 districts. Each district has to have 2 representatives a girl and a boy between the ages 12-18. It is a televised game in which the tributes must fight themselves to death. Only one must win.


Katniss Everdeen of district 12, a good hunter, volunteers to participate in the game after Primrose, her sister, is the one picked. Katniss comes from a poor family and has been providing food for them since her father died from a mine explosion. Katniss has been hunting with a great friend or maybe more than a friend Gale Hawthorne whose story is like hers. 


The chosen boy tribute is Peeta Mellark. The son of a bakers and whose life has been easier than Katniss. 


Before the game starts, they have to train in the Capitol and are dictated to act close for the audience to  attract sponsors who'll give them whatever they need during the game. When the game starts, the tribute fight against and kill each other. Luckily, Peeta and Katniss are still alive but are going through it separately. In the middle of the game, the game makers change the rules and decide that if at the end of the game, both representatives of a district are still alive, both shall be recognized as winners. Starting then, Peeta and Katniss work together and act as if they love each other. Katniss thinks that it's just to gain support and sponsors but they eventually fall for each other. They manage to stay alive   as a team when they hear a ridiculous announcement from the game makers forfeiting the change in the rules for a more dramatic ending. One must kill the other but they both couldn't do it. Katniss decides that they should both die. She gets poisonous berries, gives some to Peeta. They are going to eat the berries at the same time when the announcer stops them and declares them both as winners. 


The story doesn't end there. They get out of the arena and get hospitalized. Katniss has been informed that she and Peeta are in trouble so she acts sweeter on him in front of people. She likes him though but Peeta finds about Katniss' acts in a devastating way. He gets mad doens't talk to her if not in front of observing eyes.


This is definitely one of my favorite books. :) I want to read Catching Fire immediately after reading this but I don't have it yet. :( This is one of the best book ever written. haha :D   Hope you like this though!

CRAZY STUPID LOVE

When I first saw Crazy Stupid Love's trailer, I told my self "No way in hell I'm gonna miss this movie." and I didn't. I ended up watching alone though even if Cez, Sam and I planned to watch it together. We dropped my mom and ate to the airport. Watching movies alone for me wasn't actually new because I do that all the time. That's the one thing I do which others find really weird. hahaha! Anyway, Iwatched iot alone but I didn't actually feel alone. The movie was my companion.

The movie started with Cal (Steve Carell) and Emily (Julianne Moore) having a date which ended with Emily saying she wanted a divorce. Cal was so sad and went out, had some drinks and met Jacob (Ryan Gosling) who changed his outlook in this divorce process adn changed the way he dressed as well.

Cal was the one-woman-guy who got hurt so bad and became the dude who have sex with girls he meet on the bar or any girl he's able to hit on. But he didn't love them. He only loved a girl in his life. That's Emily. When he was about to get things straight again, in the Parents-Teachers meeting with Emily, he found out that he had sex with his son, Robbie's (Jonah Bobo) teacher (Marisa Tomei). And screwed everything. Emily found out they had sex and he spilled about having sex with 8 more girls. He got problematic and was looking forward to talking to Jacob who became busy. 

Jacob was the type of guy who goes out almost every night and hit hot girls and eventually have sex with them. Until he met Hannah (Emma Stone) who he found cute and whot he couldn't get. Hannah had a boyfriend (Josh Groban) who she thought would ask her to marry him but only offered her a job promotion. She broke up with him and looked for Jacob in the bar. She kissed him and asked him to go somewhere else which means home and have sex. They didn't have sex. The danced, kissed, have fun but no sex which is not like Jacob. He fell in love with Hannah and She wants her to meet her mom and family.

On the other hand, Cal planned something for Emily. To their shock, Hannah is Cal and Emily's first child and Jacob is the man Hannah wanted her mom to meet. Of course, Cal wasn't approved of it but gave his blessing in the end. It was a happy, touching story.

It was actually unexpected that Hannah was Cal's daughter. The story was sweet and inspiring. Falling in love is unexpected. Falling in love is continuous. Falling in love..is life.

13 Reasons Why

It's been more than a week since I last blogged, isn't it? hehehehe =p


I decided to read 13 Reasons Why because I read about its movie adaptation starring Selena Gomez. I am a fan. I love her. Anyway, my brother-in-law bought me the book (because I think it isn't released in the Philippines). I searched about in on the Wikipedia  *http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/13_Reasons_Why and got curious about suicide. Not because I'm planning to end my life or anything but the plot really caught me.


So why do you think a young lady would end her own life? In this book, I found out why.

When Clay Jensen finds a package for him in the front door of their house, he gets excited. [Who wouldn't be, right?] he opens it and finds it a little weird. The shoebox contains seven tapes numbered on each side. He goes to their garage and plays the first tape on his dad's stereo. He shockingly hears a voice he isn't expecting. a voice of an already dead girl...Hannah Baker. 


He trembles when he hears Hannah's voice. Who wouldn't? That's the voice of a girl who 2 weeks ago killed her own life. He doesn't know how to feel. Will he feel happy because he's hearing her voice again, or will he feel afraid?


He starts listening and finds out that the tape numbered 1 is all about Justin Foley. Justin is Hannah's first kiss. Well that first kiss turns out to be more than a kiss! That's a RUMOR by the way. It's only exaggerated by Justin. That gives Hannah a bad reputation at school.


1st tape, side B, all about Alex Standall. Alex makes the Who's Hot/Who's Not list. Alex makes Hannah the Hottest Ass for Freshmen Class. 


2nd tape, side A, Jessica Davis. Jessica is Hannah's first ever friend in town. While Hannah was put on the hot list by Alex, Jessica was put on the not. She abandons Hannah because of the rumors about Justin Foley.


Tyler Down on the first side of the 3rd tape. Tyler is a PEEPING TOM! He stalks Hannah! He takes pictures outside Hannah's window to find out what she does. 


First on the third tape, Courtney Crimsen. Courtney is the nicest person in school. She finds Hannah's stalker amusing and so she agrees to sleep at Hannah's house to find who the stalker is. At a party, when Courtney needs a ride she asks Hannah to come and to pick her up. At that party, Hannah finds out that Courtney's spreading a rumor about her owning a liberated toy.


Side B of the same tape is all about Marcus Cooley. Marcus asks Hannah a date on Valentine's Day and keeps her waiting. When he arrives, Hannah's drink is already empty and he touches Hannah's thighs and tries to touch her private part.


Zach Dempsey stars on the first side of the fourth tape. He witnesses Marcus touching Hannah
and when Marcus leaves, Zach tries to comfort Hannah. Hannah hears his friends afterwards about not getting her or more like about not getting to hit on her. He then steals Hannah's compliment letters as a revenge. 


On the forth's side B, Ryan Shaver. The school's news paper editor. Hannah and him join the a free course entitled To Love Life. Hannah and Ryan become good friends but Ryan steals one of Hannah's private poems and published it as his.

I personally think it stresses neglect and most especially the need for understanding. Understanding beyond what others see.

And if my love could grow wings,

I'd be soaring in flight.

Hannah thinks it isn't good but I think it's simply lovely.

5th tape, Side A, CLAY JENSEN. Unlike others, Clay isn't supposed to be in the list. He doesn't do anything wrong. But Hannah wanted to say sorry. Sorry for not knowing him more. Clay regrets that as well. -----This made me cry :(

Side B of the same tape, Justin Foley...AGAIN! Clay and Hannah have their first kiss on a party at that same party are Justin and Jessica. When Jessica, passes out, Justin brings her into the room where Hannah and Clay kissed. Hannah's still there but Justin doesn't notice. Justin left Jessica and Bryce comes in... and rapes Jessica. Hannah is there hiding on the cabinet. Hannah doesn't do anything to stop Bryce and neither does Justin.

Side A, 6th tape, Jenny Kurtz. Jenny Kurtz is the cheerleader. Jenny Kurtz asks Hannah if she needs a ride home. Hannah comes home with her but she's too drunk to drive and hit a STOP sign. The sign falls but Jenny doesn't want to report. She leaves it there and causes an accident later on.

Side B of the same tape, Bryce Walker. There's a party near where Hannah is house-sitting. Hannah goes out near the party when Courtney and Bryce see her while they are down the hot tub. Hannah joins them and he lets Bryce abuse her sexually.

Last tape, side A, Mr. Porter, the school guidance counselor. Hannah asks him about suicide. Hannah does this to try to change her mind but it only makes her finally decide and set to kill herself. 

Side B, "Thank You."

I find this book cool because it made me realize that even the small things I do might affect other people. The things I say might hurt other people. The simple moves I do, might have big impact on other people.

I'm so excited for the movie adaptation of this book. AWESOME :))
