ADDICTED

I turn my tweets into blog! Haha whew! For those who’d get annoyed by this blog, go ahead. But I won’t say sorry. You have your choice to read or not read this. So suit yourself. =p J

I wanted to tweet so badly but I know I couldn’t because my niece, Nica, and I starting April 19 are on internet fasting. You, guys, wouldn’t know how hard it was for me to avoid tweetitow-ing. Hahaha =p But I did avoid and I really didn’t use the internet. When I was about to read the book again, I really wanted to tweet. So what I did was I wrote everything I wanted to tweet and when I thought about writing it, I was like “I could literally use all the pages of my memo pad.” Well because I don’t use the back pages. I tweet a lot and I could really consume all the pages with all that 5 days of internet fasting. So the next thing I did was type them on my phone and save them. And what I am doing now is typing them directly on my computer (MS Word). And I want you to know that while doing this, I almost clicked on Google Chrome! Haha silly me!

  • My wound really hurts. Bloody Friday for me. K
  • You know, I actually learned from Eljay today. Learned that Veronica isn’t really the name of the girl who wiped Jesus Christ’s face. He said the girl’s name is unknown and Veronica came from the cloth’s type, Veron and the word icon. Something like that.

Rom Villaseran

Well I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post pictures of Sir Rom but I'm sure to post pictures of his works. :)) I'm going to tell you guys again of how I discovered a great artist. See he's been doing album covers of well known bands. One of those bands is Kjwan. Ate bought me that particular CD (This is a different story but never mind.=p).  You know, the album cover got me so curious.

I find it so beautiful and yet I don't get it. So to find out, I tweeted Kjwan's former band member Jorel Corpus. I asked for the interpretation and he sent me a link of Rom's statement. Here's the exact tweet:

  Jorel of Yore
@
@  thats what Rom Villaseran, the artist had to say about that.

Starting then, I searched about his works and fall in love with them. Here are some of them:

Rom Villaseran was born on 1975. He studied architecture at UST until his junior year, then after a 6 month stay in New York, he resumed his studies but this time at the UP College of Fine Arts.
He has worked with Greyhoundz, Slapshock, Queso, Wolfgang and Kjwan.
Also with Rock Awards-2000

While doing this blog, I searched for more informations about him but instead, I found a lot of blogs and write ups. :))

Try to type Rom Villaseran on Google and you'll see more!

I think he is a great artist and that he is born to share his talent.

A Little Thing Called Love

I've been told repeatedly by my block mates to watch A Little Thing Called Love. They said it's a Thai movie and that it's a beautiful one. I was not asking for copy or anything. Until my cousins gave me downloaded movies and saved them on my laptop.

Last night, I wanted to sleep so badly because my eyes hurt SO much but I just couldn't. I decided to watch a movie from my laptop and clicked on A Little Thing Called Love. Hey! What a shock! I fell in love with the movie. :)) haha I can simply say that I love the movie. It's awesome but I'm gonna tell you everything I loved about it anyway. :)) haha

I love the movie because:
The movie seems so real because of their acting.
  • The makers could turn
This ugly duckling kid<---This pretty lady into

This man into this young boy

I love the transformation. Looks realistic.
  • It made me cry.

This part made me cry. When Nam saw Pin's message on Shone's shirt, awwwwww broke myheart. :'( Nam tried so hard but still got her heart broken. :|
  • It made me laugh

        Nam's clumsiness is so cute!
  • It inspires me.

You know, Shone? You should have told Nam!! But then, it wouldn't be that great, would it? :)
  • The story is simple but amazing.

Best movie I've seen this year, so far. :) I first watched it yesterday and I'm watching it again while doing this blog. (Multitasking :) Sorry. Can't help it. =p)
  • The execution was lovely.

I kind of predict that they'd be together in the end but NOT LIKE THAT! :) haha Scrapbook, really? Awesome SWEETNESS!
  • It made me kilig. (conyo much) haha :')

This scene made me cry because of happiness, kilig-ness and because of what he said. :')
  • The scrapbook is amazing and SWEET!

SWEET. SWEET. SWEET. :)) It was coward of Shone not to admit though. Well Top had something to do with it but still! hahaha Well it wouldn't be better if that's what happened right?
  • Shone's attitude is cool and annoying at the same time.

Girls would really have crush on him. He's so cute! Yeah cute's the word. hehe :)) He's like your boy-next-door type of guy.
  • They're now SO famous. awww :)

The movie is known in a lot of country. Including USA and Australia :)) Good for them, right? :) They deserve the fame. Pretty pretty. Handsome handsome :)

I read Bianca Gonzalez's tweets about it. She said:

 bianca gonzalez
 by maueethegleek
"a crazy little thing called love".. "based on the true story of everyone".. beautiful film! ♥ start watching here:

have you seen the thai film "a crazy little thing called love"? such a simple, beautiful young love story!!!! ♥

follow her if you want :)

Well you know, this can happen to anyone. True love awaits. :)) There is such thing as happy ending. :) Fairy tales exist. Don't search for your fairy tale for it will come to you when you least expect it. :) Just like Shone and Nam. I'm a fan of your fairy tale. :) Lovely. Can't stop smiling.

Dagim

I'm a big fan of Marc and I have a huge crush on him. [yes first name basis. haha] He starred on an indie film Dagim last November. Of course I watched the film at EDSA Shang and I watched it ALONE. My heart was honestly pounding before the film started because I've seen posters through @MarcAbaya's tweets. [follow him on twitter @MarcAbaya]

Here's my movie ticket. wala gusto ko lang ipakita. haha

***Dagim was an official entry for Cinema One Originals 2010 starring Marc Abaya, Martin del Rosario, Rita Iringan and Samuel Quintana under the direction of Joaquin Pedro Valdes [follow him on twitter @jpedrovaldes].

I know I should have done this before to help the film but I was not yet blogging then. Anyway, I thought it was a horror film but it wasn't. I think it was suspense-thriller. There's a difference, right?

It was about two brothers (Diego and Jun) that were left by their father or should I say whose father disappeared. They lived in a rural area. They decided to look for their father. They met a pretty but mysterious young lady, Lila, along the way and went with her in the mountain where she lived. There they meet the tribe which Lila is a member and which Pido is sort of the leader. Pido showed great hospitality and welcomed them dearly. Jun was infatuated to live there with the tribe where it is far from civilization. Little did they know that the tribe practices cannibalism. But by the Jun realized the secret, it might be too late for them for Diego was about to be initiated as the newest member of the tribe.

At first I thought the tribe was a rebel. Well...it's not. It practices cannibalism.

A very well executed film. :))

The tribe has a song which I can't decide if it's creepy or inspiring. The song goes:
Tag-ulan o tag-araw malayo ang lakbay.
Sa bundok o sa baybay hawak kapit kamay.
The lyrics inspire me but the way they sing it, I don't know. :// yikes! haha

Pido threw a line in the film saying:
Lakas lang ang nakakapaghiganti. Kahinaan ang magpasawalang kibo
A strong and heavy line. Very deep.

I saved the lyrics and Pido's line in my cellphone. hihihihi ;)

It was a good movie.

This movie is an art. Good actors. Good director. Good execution.

Marc Abaya was scary, oh yes he was. BUT was still cute. hihi

I can't deny that the brothers, Martin del Rosario and Samuel Quintana, were so believable!!

And Rita Iringan was so alluring.

[sorry for being biased. hahaha please understand =p]

I'd recommend this movie because it'll make you think. Do tribes like that really exist?

I personally think that this movie communicates the message about brotherhood and trust. Through this movie I realize the beauty of indie films.

P.S.
I love Marc.

I love  hehe

Twitter Mania

I started tweetting in 2009 and I loved it from the start. Twitter gives me this unexplainable satisfaction. Almost addictive actually. hehe =p I used to go to school early and go to the library not to read books but to tweet. I'm not kidding. It's true. I didn't have laptop then so I can't tweet at home so that's what I do. Until I finally learned about Tweetitow. Tweetitow is an application where in one can tweet through text. *[tweetitow.com] I actually tweet for free whenever I am registered to Globe unlimited services. [there, Globe. free advertisement] Anyway, then, with tweetitow, I could tweet and I could also receive mentions. I could receive at most 30 mentions a day.  Mentions have payment now. My friends and relatives were like "addict ka!", "di kasi ako mahilig sa ganun e"(referring to blogs/ short blogs/ whatever). Really, guys? =p

I love Twitter's features. The TTs, customizations and the like.

I loved the sense that when I tweet, no one I personally know responded. I got to talk to people I don't know. I got to talk to people with interests same as mine. :)) Then POOF! Gradually, my friends and relatives started to create their account. I thought it would be bad, well at least for me. I thought I wouldn't be able to tweet the stuff I wanted to say. But I didn't care. I tweeted whatever I want and nobody cared. I got to express what I feel. It's like an ART for me. :)) Maybe a part of the unexplainable satisfaction is expression.

There were people calling me "addict" write? Well most of them were my friends. I was with them most of the time so they know. I do that every time. Whenever we were in the computer shop, they'd (especially Mona :)) see me open my Twitter account first and then Facebook. HAHA! Anyway, Alya Salvador, my college barkada joined Twitter last December 2010. She now has exactly 6,395 (by 9:28pm) tweets. FYI, she used to call me Twitter addict. She is the one who's addict you know? HAHA! I have tweeted exactly 10,398 tweets since I joined 2 years ago. Now compare! :)) =p I'm an addict Alya, really? HAHA [follow Alya on twitter @bangstaaar :))]

I have dared myself a couple of times to delete my Facebook account because honestly, I am not fond of it like others. And I know I can live without it. It's just that, I have SO many pictures in it. It would take a lot of my time to get all those before cancelling my account, right? HAHA =p Now dare me to delete my twitter account. I'd answer you with a BIG, BIG I CAN'T. I can't do that. It is hard. haha Hard I'm telling you! Don't try to hack my account 'cause I can kill you! haha Well...no, I can't kill. haha I can only hate you until death. :)

Twitter is now very famous. As in big time!! ALMOST all of the celebrities, whether Hollywood or local, own an account. Here is a
tweet earlier today. here it is ----->
AND I totally agree. haha I so love
Twitter :))

Grown Ups

**Today. My definition of today begins from the time I wake up and ends when I finally plan to sleep.

It was not of my intention to create a blog today since my day started with shocking news. ;p Anyway, I went biking today with my cousins, niece and sister. And so we were biking, biking, biking, biking, biking until we got to the wheat fields. It was very windy, and green. We had experienced a different kind of fun. Fun without the internet, computers, and TV.

And then I remembered the movie Grown Ups. The parents grew up with normal childhood while Lenny's (Adam Sandler's) kids grew up using gadget and playing with them. [wenk wenk =p] Lenny brought them in this lake house and they begun to see what real fun is. They began to play what normal kids play and actually play with normal kids.

I lived a very normal childhood. I played out in the streets. I played patintero, taguan, tumabang preso. Name it and I swear I've gone through that.

What really got me thinking by our experience today was the fact that kids today do not know what real fun is. Do kids today know what patintero is? Do they know what baka moro is? Maybe some, yes. But majority of them is innocent of that. Kids' definition of fun is playing DOTA, playing PSP, watching this, watching that, etc. :( But the real fun is out there. Out their houses, there in the streets, even in the field maybe. Fun is when one realizes something from what he/she is doing. Fun is when one discovers something fruitful like the history of something for example.

It is indeed deep of me to create blogs like these.  But this is reality. It's sad to say that this is what's out there.
