The Magical Tayor Lautner 2013 Manila Visit x TFs

I have been trying to post this since Monday morning but there’s something wrong with my browser. Well anyway, here it is.

image
This was the bouncer’s ID. He was right in front of us…I mean the bouncer. HAHA :P

I see Taylor Lautner up close ONLY in MY DREAMS and in MY IMAGINATION. This fairy tale-moment came true because of a Bench event. It was a meet and greet but we (Mia, Mona, Charlene) weren’t part of that. I think the event was on a first-come, first-served basis and you need to buy something from Bench. We arrived at 2-2:30pm and the event was at 3pm so you know how we didn’t qualify to be part of that.

image
We were waiting! From left to right, Mia, Me, Mona, Charlene and a little photo bomber. heehee

It didn’t start on time but we patiently waited until Sam Oh came out, said some things we didn’t understand, by the way, the audio was BLAH! Talked, talked, and finally called Taylor out! We planned to be at the back so that once he comes out, we’ll see him so close and THAT WAS A SUCCESS!

image
He just got up the stage and Sam was talking to him. (Sam Oh has met a lot of international actors!)

He said some things but the only ones I understood were Mabuhay and Mahal ko kayo, partly because the audio was BLAH! and partly because he was so MESMERIZING. He started signing posters, hugging girls (damn those girls! haha), and kissing some (again, DAMN!).

We decided to go somewhere far so that we could see the whole thing: him, him signing the posters, hugging some girls, kissing some (!), just everything that was happening. We went up the 2nd floor, to get a better view. When the meet and greet was done, he went off the stage and started signing autographs on random fans’ papers and things. It was a unanimous decision to go down and go back to the place where we were (we like to call it THE backstage; D). He went to every corner, well not really, facing the audience, he started on the center, to the left, and then finally to the right. It was magical. It was like a movie in a slow motion—him slowly moving towards our direction. I was not exaggerating when used the word magical. I can’t even explain. Every word that I can think of is like an understatement. I mean it was TAYLOR LAUTNER! COME ON!!!! And he finally got in front of us. He was just right there! Sharkboy, Elliot, Jacob, Willy, Nathan, Andy, TAYLOR LAUTNER! I stretched my hand and showed him my notebook for him to sign. AND HE DID SIGN IT! Dang that was JHGHJTYJCRDRCJHD! It’s UNEXPLAINABLE.

image
HE WAS SIGNING MY NOTEBOOK!!!!

Mona did it too but she was holding her phone and he signed her phone case!

image
HE WAS SIGNING MONA’S PHONE!

Borbs (Charlene) tried to stretch her phone out too but it was almost a riot out there. I couldn’t see Mia but I was sure she was enjoying and appreciating everything that was happening too. After the signing and all, he took off through the stairs that led to a basement or something.
See the video HERE!!!!

It was HEAVEN! We were on CLOUD 9!  It was CRAZY!

UNEXPLAINABLE!!!!!

But we were sure IT. WAS. THE. BEST. FEELING!

It still feels so good.
It was a once in a life time moment that we will NEVER be ashamed of. NEVER!
Oh Taylor…we can’t top thinking about you, talking about you, just….
It was the HAPPIEST MOMENT.

And hey! We had dinner at Shakey’s and wrote goals. HAHA

image
What can you say about my friends?

This is the summary of our WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL day!
image
Cookie Butter from Mia (THANKS!), my notebook and Mona’s phone signed by Taylor, the earrings I bought for TFs, and the time capsule.

Thanks, Mia, Mona, and Borbs for that experience. It wouldn’t be the same without you. :D CHEESY. :D

Perks of Being a Wallflower FILM ADAPTATION

I love the film. Honestly! And not so many movies that I've seen received applause as the credits come out. Well, only The Hunger Games and it was an advance screening. I watched Perks of Being a Wallflower on a REGULAR SCREENING!

It was well...should I say executed? And we all know that in a movie adaptation, not every scene, not every page, and in this case, not every letter of the book would be included. There are a lot of letters from the book that I really, really, REALLY wanted to see in the film. I was being a critic as I was watching the film. It was just so well done that I think I'm not mad of the fact that I didn't see what I wanted to see. (Am I being redundant of what I am saying/writing? hahaha)

Scenes I love:

  • EVERYTHING!--shocker

Scenes I would have loved to see (and imagined to be included in the movie):
  • Candice being mad at Charlie for catching her and her boyfriend having sex on the couch
  • Charlie telling Sam that he dreamed about them having sex
  • Sam telling Patrick about Charlie's dream
  • Candice asking Charlie to accompany her to a check-up ('cause she taught she was pregnant)
  • Charlie smoking
  • Charlie telling Sam about him seeing a girl being raped
  • Charlie going to his Aunt Helen's grave
  • Charlie telling Bob that Candice's boyfriend hit her and she gets mad at Charlie
  • Charlie telling Candice he loves her and Candice saying it back
  • Charlie saying "Oh my God!" "Tomorrow's a school day!!"
  • Charlie meeting Bob and Bob's wife
  • Family gatherings
  • Charlie and Patrick going to the park
  • Charlie meeting the sports guy on TV news in the park
  • Charlie telling his family about what the sports guy told him about his brother
  • Them emphasizing that Charlie gave Sam and Patrick books he read and owned (it was shown that he gave Sam books he owned but it wasn't shown that he gave the rest to Patrick)

I know. I know. It would be a long film right? :) I know if I keep remembering what I was thinking when I was watching the movie, this blog would be too long. And I am being to wordy right now! It's just that, I really, really love this book. I scan it sometimes and read a letter. As I've written in another blog, I feel like I have a friend named Charlie. How I wish he could write me more letters.

When I saw the trailer I hated the idea that Patrick was an outed gay. Because when I read the book, I saw him as a regular guy and I got shocked when it came to the point of knowing that Patrick and Brad were kissing! (Or maybe it was just me?) But in the movie, Patrick was okay. He was so cute. Ezra Miller was good!

As for Sam, Emma Watson, I imagined her as a wilder girl. But, whatever! I love her even before! :)

I...we even thought that Logan Lerman being Charlie wouldn't be good because Charlie is a loser while Logan Lerman is this hot and handsome guy. He acted so well that him being hot and handsome didn't matter. It was Charlie in Logan's body! Really!

The movie gave justice to the book. Well...Stephen Chbosky being the director, right?

I cried while reading the book and cried while watching the movie!!!! It was great! It was BEAUTIFUL.

MUST WATCH!

God's Will...GRADUATING

ECSTATIC!

This picture proves that I will be graduating on March 26, 2012. That is official, my friends! You can only imagine how bothered I was before the list was posted. Days before it came out, I couldn't help but check the portal again and again to see if the grades were out. We were told on March 15 that the list would be out on the afternoon of the same day. I was eating with my TFs and LBs (haha! go figure =p) when my good friend, Daniel, sent me a message saying that my name was on the list. It was a different feeling. In a good way, of course! :) I will blog more about "graduation" soon (after the ceremony). I will thank everyone on that blog :)

DR. SEUSS' THE LORAX

What happens if all we care about is money and regret the nature?

Imagine the world without trees?

Imagine paying for clean air to breathe?

The movie The Lorax would answer every question I just asked. The movie is absolutely full of cuteness. Actually, it was purely cuteness. And sometimes, animated films give us more lessons. They convey messages that would really touch viewers' hearts. They give us reasons to live.

The Lorax is really WORTH your time and money.

Let's tell kids the real value of nature by letting them watch this movie.

VERY ENTERTAINING AND VERY INFORMATIVE.

NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MONEY.

QUOTES TO LIVE:

It's not about what it is. It's about what it can become.
-Once-ler

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to be better.
-Dr. Seuss

THE LORAX- A MUST SEE

P.S. Thanks, Solar, for the advance screening of The Lorax in 3D :)

Perks of Being a Wallflower

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perks_of_being_a_wallflower

I didn't really know what the noun wallflower means until I read the book Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Wallflower is a person who is shy and who doesn't want to socialize much.

Before I say anything...I mean a lot about the book, I'd first say how I got interested to get the book. Well, no, it was actually why I asked my brother-in-law for the book. :) =p

I know I have heard of the book but what really got me curious about it is that the casts of the film adaptation include Logan Lerman and Emma Watson. These are great actors I admire. Yup! Same reason why I read 13 Reasons Why. I think I have this interest on books with first person point of view. Anyway...I'll write what I think about the book. And hey! You won't see negative comments. :)

I have already described the word wallflower but the book also said that Charlie, the main character of the story, is known for being a wallflower--the boy who knows a lot but doesn't say anything about any of them.

I honestly think that the book is so GOOD! It was realistic. No lies. The author was just saying what could happen to a teenage kid in the real world.

Suicide. Drugs. Homosexuality. Sex. Rape. Abuse. These are the sensitive issues that the book contains and that the readers must know. 'cause these happen in life...to teens. The book gives so many lessons and it was well narrated. It was cool and heavy at the same time. It was so well balanced. By reading the book, readers would understand and realize the consequences of what bad decisions would give them and the chances they could have to put things back to normal.

Charlie is a VERY brave boy to have survived the challenges he faced. Especially the one that her aunt, whom he loved dearly, did to him. (I don't want to spill that part because I don't want to spoil the readers =p)

After reading this book, I literally felt like I have a friend named Charlie...who writes me letter of his daily life every now and then. :) <3

Charlie, I am writing you back. :) Thanks for being honest and helpful to your friends. :) Thanks for being a friend. :)

:DDD

This is Real- Solar Entertainment

I couldn't believe it either. It happened so fast.

Here's the whole story. On the last day of RMP review, I went to the room where Queenie was assigned and talked to Sir Torres about the company which accepted me. We ended up with a decision of not pursuing that company. Queenie talked to me "Diba gusto mo sa Solar?" and I said yes. It was Lyra who told her and Adri, our friend, was the one looking for another intern so I immediately sent him a text message. He told me to send him my resume and so I did. That night, I was waiting for my kuya and dad 'cause I'll go home with them to Bulacan. But I just woke up on a Friday morning with a text message and my dad and kuya left already. But I think it was just where God wanted me to be. The text message was from Adri and he told me that if I go Solar that morning, then I am in.

Adri told me that he sent the message to 2 other persons. So it was more like a race to Solar. I prepared and go immediately to Makati. I got there and Adri told me that I am going to be accepted because the other two wouldn't make it. So we went up and I waited 'cause I thought I was going to be interviewed. What happened was I got hired because I think they needed another intern. They made me work that day and the rest is history. :)

Was it luck or was it meant for me? haha emosyonal :D

Untouched by Human Mouth

This is the Choco Mucho I told my friend, Ferson, I won't eat.

He gave this to me on my 17th birthday (Which he almost forgot until Satoshi reminded him) almost 4 years ago.

This is signed with note.

I swear I kept my promise. I'll tell you guys why this seems empty. This is indeed empty. About 7 months ago, we moved here in Pulilan but we left a lot of things in Plaridel (Choco Mucho and Toblerone included).

Last Tuesday, Ashe, Queenie and I went to Plaridel to get some things. I decided to get the chocolates I've been keeping for years. I was shocked and sad to see the Choco Mucho empty and I know why. The mouse/mice ate it and did it in a very clean way. Notice that just a little part of the packaging is damaged but all of what's inside is gone. Sorry, Ferson. :|| I hope this doesn't happen to the M&M you gave me. :||

This one was given to me by May, my high school best friend, on my 18th birthday.

I also promised her I won't eat it.
I think this was also signed but I wasn't able to capture the signature.

This wasn't eaten by rat/rats but ants are inside it. Sorry, Besh. :||

I can't do anything about it anymore but I think if I were to continue collecting chocolates, I'd put it in safer place. In my defense though, I was able to keep this safe for years it's just that nobody cleans the house anymore and the only living things in there are rodents. I WAS WRONG ABOUT NOT BRINGING THEM WITH ME.

The first time I saw Hanna's trailer, I knew I wanted to watch it.

Since I don't know when it's gonna be for viewing in cinemas here in the Philippines, I downloaded it. (whooopsies PIRACY) :|| sarry! anyway. I am very impressed with Saoirse Ronan's acting. She was so great. She was good with Lovely Bones but really HANNA, SUPERB!! :) I am seriously AMAZED. :) Watch Hanna. Watch Hanna. Watch Hanna! not for kids though. :) I mean it's kinda brutal. so there. GO WATCH HANNA! :))

An Answered Prayer

"Lord sana po this week maging maayos na yung OJT ko." This is what I was asking Lord when I prayed last Sunday and Monday night. [I know you won't believe but yes, I do pray almost every night. As long as my sleep is planned or...whatever.]

I went to a job interview this morning. Miss Marisse talked to me first and she was so kind. We were just like girl-friends. She asked me about the consumer behavior paper and the like. She even made me describe the packaging of 2-in-1 Pancit Canton(our group's innovated product). It was fun. :) She didn't intimidate me AT ALL. After minutes of talking, they made me wait for a LITTLE while then made me talk to Sir Red. Him, too, wasn't intimidating. It was in straight English but he was kind and he was like helping me answer his own questions. HAHA! I didn't know why I wasn't nervous with this interview. My favorite part of our talk is when I told him that I idolize Coca-Cola. Anyway, after talking to Mr. Red, I had to wait for a while. It was more or less 30 minutes.

It was all worth the wait.

After her talk with another applicant, she approached me and said "Hinintay mo pa talaga ko." haha It was nice of her to say that. Well I didn't know if I could go or not so I waited. She told me to come back on the 24th with my papers. Which means that I got in! haha YAHOO!!! :))

I can't even explain the feeling. This is like drinking Coke :) Happiness.

So what's the point in blogging? The point is that Lord answered my prayer. The week isn't about to end yet! Today's just Wednesday. Lord has His ways. He knows that I want a peace of mind and He's giving me peace of mind. Lord, thank You. There's so much gratitude in me that You truly deserve. THANK YOU :)

Stitch By Stitch

Just feel like blogging about this awesome, awesome song! :) Heard this last night for the first time and wow I fell in love with it. :) <3 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! :)
Stitch By Stitch by Javier Colon
Blue and black, heart torn out,You uncover what's beneath my skinThere and back, there's no doubt, your touch is my medicine
I'll be okay, 'cause you heal me...
And I'll give you all my pieces brokenIn your hands, there's nothing that you can't fixMy heart is frayed, my scars are openSo put me back together now, stitch by stitchPut me back together now, stitch by stitch.
What you say, without words, resuscitates what was numb insideSo repair me, every thread of me, 'cause you're bringing me back to life
I'll be okay, 'cause you heal me...
And I'll give you all my pieces brokenIn your hands, there's nothing that you can't fixMy heart is frayed, my scars are openSo put me back together now stitch, by stitch
I'm still afraid of falling, somehow it's takin' over meDon't ever let me let it go...
There and back, there's no doubt, your touch makes me whole again
And I'll give you all my pieces brokenIn your hands there's nothing that you can't fixMy heart is frayed, my scars are openSo put me back together now, stitch by stitch
Put me back together now, stitch by stitch
Put me back together now, stitch by stitch

I'm A Fan

I love Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan. I literally was addicted to the series. When I was at the end of The Last Olympian, I wanted to read more so badly. Fortunately, there were pages of The Lost Hero. It was good! It felt like Percy Jackson didn't leave. I wanted to read the whole book but I don't have The Lost Hero. And what I always do when I go to book stores is browse books especially Riordan's even if I've read all PJOs. I remember telling my sister and friends this "Sobrang galing nung writer nito. Adik siguro sa Greek Mythology." (The book's author is so great. I think he's addicted to Greek Mytholgy.) I learned Greek Mythology because Rick Riordan. He educated me. I want to read The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune and I definitely will...hopefully soon. :)

I can really say that I am a fan of Rick Riordan. :D Kudos! :)
